Northern Minnesota’s Vacation Community- Kabetogama, Namakan, Rainy

Attached Images show a pamphlet that I got from the Rainy Lake Visitors Center while visiting Voyageurs National Park. In the pamphlet you will find the following articles.

“Great Northern Minnesota Fishing” “Northern Minnesota fishing is the number one pastime for our spring, summer, and fall guests. Fishing from Ash River is second to none. Ash River flows to Sullivan Bay and on to where Lake Kabetogama and Namakan meet. Since Voyageurs National Park has no motor restrictions, you can also fish Sand Point Lake or Crane Lake, and enjoy the miles of remote, uncrowded, and scenic pine-studded shorelines. Windy days are no problem from the Ash River, as there are many bays in which to take advantage of a perfect wallet chop. You will not only catch walleye, but also the great northern pike, trophy crappie, and feisty smallmouth bass. For more adventuresome, muskie and lake trout can be taken from one of the 30 small interior lakes, accessible only by trails from the main lakes. Contact Voyageurs National Park to reserve a canoe or rowboat offered at some of these interior lakes.”
